Jeffrey is a Modern, Contemporary, Abstract artist that currently resides in Scotia, New York , he draws his inspiration from tapping his imagination and the world around him. He is a self taught artist that relies on his creativity and spontaneous process of applying and removing paint. His work is largely achieved through constant experimentation and diversified techniques. Jeffrey enjoys painting in many different styles, but abstract is what he is drawn to, each painting is a journey for him, evolving in it's own progression. He is constantly critiquing his work. Finding that stopping point and calling a piece done is the most difficult, he always thinks "it could be better". He has probably painted over many great pieces because of this. Jeffrey believes art should be uplifting and evoke emotion. His favorite quote is by Jackson Pollock, "Abstraction is nothing but abstract, it confronts you!" He strives for each painting to have that certain quality to it that says "Hey you, stop and check me out". His work has experienced steady and constant sales and appreciation at every new venue he attends. Many collectors and enthusiasts have said his paintings are full of emotion, but at the same time are very peaceful and calming.
